Kris Dale has been a professional low end wrangler for over 20 years. Touring the highways and byways with Corey Smith, Col. Bruce Hampton, Bernadette Seacrest and many more, Kris brings the real world experience and secrets of the professional touring musician to you. You can ask him anything…anything. With countless studio sessions under his belt, Kris also prepares his students for the microscope of recording both their own projects and what it means to work for and with, other artists.
After graduating from the University of Miami with a degree in Studio Music/Jazz Bass Kris moved home to Atlanta and immersed himself in the local music scene. After a few years of playing around town he got the traveling bug and began his career on the road. Playing every venue from clubs to stadiums with jazz, country and rock artists, he understands the importance of versatility in the music industry.
Kris has released 4 albums under his own name and has recorded and performed on the electric bass, upright bass and steel guitar for many other artists over the years. These experiences create an atmosphere in each lesson that focuses on enjoying music above all else. Ear training, playing along with your favorite recordings and jamming with other musicians are at the heart of Kris’ teaching style.
